What type of wood burning stove is right for me?

Is the running cost of a wood burning stove expensive?
Wood burners can be a cost-effective way to heat your home if you’re looking for an energy-saving solution. The Stove Industry Alliance (SIA) reports that they are 77% cheaper per kWh than electric fires and 29% less costly when compared with gas models while oil or LPG based heating systems come out 50%.
This may vary depending on what type of stove system is installed in your house, but overall these figures should give anyone enough incentive not only to consider switching over from traditional fossil fuels sources like coal which releases CO2 into our atmosphere every time it burns.
What wood burning stove size do I need?
To keep the temperature in your home at a comfortable level, you will need between 1 and 2 kW per square meter. This can be worked out by measuring how big his fireplace is and what kind of heating output you want: if it’s just for a standard-sized home then somewhere around 20-30W should do nicely!

After a dreadful job by a company in Chester who badly designed a media wall with an electric fire which was awful, they were not interested in rectifying the job, we needed to start again. I was nervous about this as we had such a bad experience but I have to say, I needn’t have worried. From Walking into the showroom and speaking to Kev, we were reassured, the quality of the fires and surround was evident. The communication and workmanship fantastic.
